As actor Amokade Olatayo, popularly known as Ijebu, approaches the second anniversary of his mother’s death, actress Ronke Oshodi-Oke has joined a growing number of people in expressing sympathy.
Ijebu posted heartbreaking recollections of his late mother on Instagram on Friday, along with images that perfectly encapsulated her personality.
He reflected on her legacy with the caption, “Iya Funmbi, it was exactly two years ago you left this sinful world, that you went to be with the Lord.
“We return all glory to God for His infinite mercy over our lives since you left. The legacy you left behind is still ringing in our minds.
“We appreciate God for His love over the lives of your children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. To God be the glory in the highest.”
Celebrities and fans alike flooded his comment section with messages of condolence.
Ronke offered her sympathies with a simple yet poignant, “Rest on mama,”
Abeni Balogun Fausat added, “May her soul continue to rest.”

In 2022, Ijebu first announced the news of his mothes passing on Instagram, revealing that she was ill before her death.
