Popular Nigerian actress Peju Ogunmola has taken to social media to announce the devastating loss of her father, who passed away unexpectedly on November 2.
The actress, who celebrated her birthday on November 3, shared her heartfelt grief and shock, revealing that her father had not been ill before his sudden demise.
Peju expressed gratitude for the outpouring of love and support from fans, friends, and colleagues, despite not posting about her birthday.

“To him alone I return all the glory. I think I have little courage to post now. Yesterday, 3rd of Nov was my birthday. Was planning for my birthday when I received this shocking News on the 2nd of Nov that my dad was in coma, I knew immediately it was a lie, cos my dad was never sick, I called my dad’s number and his driver picked up the call and broke the News thinking I already knew, in his voice he said, ‘aunty Peju, daddy ti lo simi’ meaning dad has gone to rest. I lost balance cos I did not see my dad leaving in the next 15 years. To God be the glory. My dad lived a fulfilled life and has gone to rest. Sure I will miss him forever.
As a military man, he was the coolest man I have ever seen. Despite the fact that I did not post on my birthday, I saw my pictures everywhere. The love is real, I don’t know how to express my feelings. Am so grateful. Thanks to everyone who reached out to me that it’s unusual, we did not see your post. Honestly, I appreciate everyone from my heart. Thanks for the love and trust me, I do not take your love for granted. From my heart, am saying a big thank you to you all, and to all the bloggers who posted my pictures as well. Am grateful. Thank you so much.”
