Famous Nigerian singer David Adeleke professionally known as Davido recently made history as he participated in the ongoing 2024 US election.
Taking to the insta-stories section of his verified Instagram page today, November 5th 2024, Davido confirmed to all and sundry that he has cast his vote in the ongoing election.
The 2024 United States elections are currently being held on today. During this presidential election year, the president and vice president will be elected. The following presidential election will be the 2028 presidential election.
US election 2024 polls are open across the country, including the seven battleground states: Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, Nevada, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin.
At the time of writing, the 2024 U.S. presidential race between Democratic candidate Kamala Harris and Republican candidate Donald Trump is locked in a tight contest, with results still too close to call.
Both candidates are performing strongly in key battleground states, intensifying the suspense as votes are tallied and the nation awaits a clear outcome.
However, in his post, Davido subtly reconfirms his famous lyrics in the hit song “Summy Body” with Olamide that reads “With Yankee passport dem say we local, You better catch up I go see you later.”
Davido confirms that he his from Atlanta, Georgia in the United States of America as the evidence that showcases him voting reads; “I’m a Georgia voter, I secured my vote.”
Davido said that this is the first time he will be voting in the United States of America.
He wrote; “First-time voter.”
