Yewande Adekoya Abiodun (born January 20, 1983) is a renowned Nigerian actress, filmmaker, and producer. With a career spanning over two decades, she has made significant contributions to the Nigerian film industry.
Early Life and Education
Born in Lagos State, Nigeria, Yewande hails from Ososa-Ijebu in Ogun State. She attended Bright Star Nursery and Primary School and later proceeded to Bright Star Comprehensive High School for her secondary education. Yewande obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mass Communications from Babcock University.
Career
Yewande began her acting career in 2002 with Alphabash Music and Theatre Group. She scripted and produced her first content, “Life Secret,” in 2006. Her notable works include “Omo Elemosho” (2012), “Kudi Klepto” (2013), and “Kurukuru” (2015), which earned her several award nominations and wins.
Personal Life
Yewande is married to fellow actor Abiodun Thomas, and they share two beautiful daughters together.
