Celebrating a Nollywood Legend: Fausat Balogun (Madam Saje)

For over 35 years, Fausat Balogun, fondly known as Madam Saje, has captivated audiences with her exceptional talent and versatility.

Born on February 13, 1959, in Ifelodun, Kwara State, Nigeria, Madam Saje has established herself as one of Nollywood’s most prolific actresses.

Madam Saje has featured in numerous blockbuster films and stage productions. She has inspired generations of actors and actresses and has starred in over 80 movies.

Some of her notable films include Oyelaja Owo, Onibara, Okan Mi, Akebaje, Ladigbolu, Morenike, Oko Mama E, Tanimola, Nkan Okunkun, Adufe, Leyin Akponle, Laba Laba, Itelorun, Omo Elemosho (2012), Iyawo Ojokan, Ife Kobami, Gbogbo Lomo, Asepamo, Eto Obinrin, Iyawo Elenu Razor, Kokoro Ate, Omoge Elepa, Olaitan, Anikura, Oju Elegba, Langbodo, Ologo Nla, Abgara Obinrin, Eepo, Moriyeba, Orisirisi (Kose Gbo), Serekode, Ojo Ikunle, Alase Aye (2006), Imported Lomo, Adun Ale, Ileri Oluwa, Ogbun Aye, Omo Pupa (2008), Òmìn (2008), Alaimore, Olasunkanmi, Salawa, Adebimpe omo oba, Alaroka, Oro itan, Ebi Dapo, Aromire, Awele, Oro idile, and Ogbon.

In her personal life, Madam Saje is married to actor Rafiu Balogun and has two children; her eldest son is a director, and her youngest daughter is an actress. She hails from Oke Ode, Ifelodun Local Government Area, Kwara State.
