“Speaking Yoruba is stressful, I cant even teach my kids” — Adunni Ade says as she urges Nigerians to speak only English ‎

Actress Adunni Ade, who is Yoruba, has many people infuriated because she says that speaking Yoruba gets on her nerves.

When the broadcaster urged her to speak in her own tongue during an interview on Channels Television, she made it clear where she stood.

The half-caste actress who is born to a German-American mother and a Nigerian father politely refused, and gave her reasons.

According to her, the recognized language in Nigeria is English, which she implored everybody to start speaking while claiming that speaking in her native tongue irks her.

She also added that a lot of people are quite rude about it and forcibly demand that she speaks her native language.

Admittedly, she realizes that many people are surprised she can actually speak Yoruba owing to her looks.

Adunni Ade also appreciated her dad for bringing her down to Nigerian to learn the Yoruba culture and traditions.

When she said “my father brought me to Nigeria to learn the Nigerian culture” I was like are you joking, your YouTube father brought you home to learn his culture no to learn Nigerian culture like you’re some tourist.”
